Terms of Use

Welcome to indiclens.com (“IndicLens”, “the Service”), operated from the Mumbai / Thane region of Maharashtra, India. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The Service

IndicLens offers AI-assisted reflections based on verses from the Bhagavad Gita, intended to help personal contemplation at the point of need. It is meant to walk beside traditional study, not replace it. Answers are not official religious rulings, scholarly commentaries, or professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s consent.

3. Accounts and access

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your questions and content

You retain ownership of what you type. You grant us a licence to store, process, and display your questions and generated answers as needed to run the Service — including cached replay, moderation, and (only if you opt in) anonymised public sidebar labels that do not show personal information.

6. Intellectual property

The IndicLens name, site design, and original materials are ours or our licensors’. Traditional Gita texts belong to the cultural and scholarly heritage they come from; our verse dataset, prompts, and presentation are protected as applicable. You may share links to reflections on indiclens.com; you may not republish bulk content or run a competing mirror without permission.

7. AI-generated content

Outputs may be incomplete, imprecise, or unsuited to your situation. See our Disclaimer. You use generated text at your own discretion.

8. Fees, credits, and payments

The Bhagavad Gita itself is freely available for learning; any fees apply to running the Service (search, generation, narration, and related infrastructure), not to access to the sacred text. Some browsing is free; asking new questions and using voice or Listen features requires a signed-in account and credits.

Credit packs, per-action credit use, GST on Indian sales, international USD pricing, payment methods, refunds, chargebacks, and receipts are set out in full on our Credits & pricing page. That page forms part of these Terms. By purchasing credits you agree to those prices and policies.

Payments from India are processed by Razorpay; payments from outside India are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on IndicLens servers. Credits are prepaid, non-transferable, have no cash value, and are not refundable once used, except as stated on the pricing page. Purchased credits are delivered to your account immediately after successful payment.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under applicable law.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IndicLens and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IndicLens from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer in India.

14. Contact

Use the contact form for questions about these Terms. We do not publish a public support email on the website.
